Reading an EV-RNA report: discovery, interpretation and validation
Keep read proportions, RNA candidates, target predictions and experimental support distinct.
Label the type of conclusion
Separate direct observations, reference-based annotations or predictions, and interpretations supported by independent experiments.
Build a project checklist
- Are source samples, library details, reference versions and comparison direction clear?
- Are counts, normalized values, fold changes and statistical measures defined consistently?
- Are ambiguous assignments and possible contamination explanations retained?
- Can proposed validation be traced to specific results and conditions?
Retain the evidence boundary
The EV-RNA position paper discusses challenges in source assignment, measurement and functional interpretation. Read proportions do not directly establish vesicle fractions or RNA copies per vesicle. A predicted candidate is not an experimentally demonstrated function.
Prepare useful information
Organize identifiers, species, groups, existing findings and intended use. The primer example explains input requirements. During AI maintenance, the reading material and preparation steps remain available.
