Method overview

We provide transmission electron microscopy (TEM) services to examine EV morphology and structure and support research into their functions and mechanisms. TEM is commonly used to obtain high-resolution images and information on morphology and size distribution.

The source describes use of the HITACHI HT7700 transmission electron microscope for EV observation. Developed for biological, pharmaceutical, nanotechnology and soft-material applications, the system combines microscope and CCD camera operation with digital imaging. The routine image fields listed are 1 μm (10,000×), 500 nm (20,000×), 200 nm (30,000×) and 100 nm (60,000×).
