DNA associated with extracellular vesicles is being investigated as a potential biomarker and may provide information relevant to tumor biology, prognosis and treatment response. EV DNA sequencing obtains sequence information for research into EV-associated DNA. The service typically includes DNA extraction, sequencing and data analysis. Applications in disease diagnosis, treatment and prognosis require appropriate validation.
1. Whole-genome sequencing
Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) uses high-throughput sequencing to investigate sequence and structural variation across genomes. Comparisons between individuals or tissues can identify differences such as single-nucleotide variants (SNVs), insertions and deletions (indels), structural variants (SVs) and copy-number variants (CNVs). These data can support research into disease mechanisms, inheritance and population genetics.

2. Targeted sequencing
Targeted capture sequencing uses designed probes to hybridize with genomic DNA and enrich selected regions before high-throughput sequencing. The source lists Illumina and Life Technologies platforms as examples. Studying selected regions across samples can support the discovery and validation of disease-associated genes and variants, as well as research in drug development and agriculture.

Lifeint provides EV research and application services from sample preparation, isolation and characterization to omics, functional studies, modification and scale-up. It jointly established a biomedical technology centre with Xiamen University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, built process-development laboratories to GMP standards, and contributed to an EV expert consensus. Its service records cover more than 300 plant species.
